We are excited to announce that Mike Harmer, our Chief of Strategic Operations, has been elected as the Vice Chair of The Railway Industry Association's (RIA) SME Group.
The RIA SME Group serves as a vital community and platform for SMEs in the rail supply chain to discuss mutual challenges and share expertise from across the industry.
In his new role, Mike will lead efforts to elevate SME influence within the rail sector, working alongside newly elected Chair Catherine Leech, Managing Director of Anturas Consulting. Together, they will champion initiatives aimed at improving industry partnerships and collaboration, and ensuring SME interests are represented at every level of the UK Rail sector.
Mike brings to the role a wealth of industry experience and knowledge and a clear vision for advancing SME interests in the rail industry.
Commenting on his appointment, Mike Harmer said, "I am deeply honoured to step into the position of Vice Chair of the SME Group. SMEs play a crucial role in driving innovation and growth within the rail industry, and I want to amplify the huge contribution they have. Leveraging my experience, my goal is to empower SMEs, ensuring they thrive and succeed in the rail sector."
Mike will assume his role as Vice Chair from May 2024.
