Industry, innovation and infrastructure

We know that building resilient infrastructure and fostering innovation supports economic growth, social development and climate action. The railway plays a key role in growth, stability, employment and accessibility. As a key railway supplier, we commit to:

  • leading innovative projects that solve technological, efficiency and sustainability challenges and support rail services that are fit for future generations
  • actively investing in research and development to add supply chain value
  • working with small-scale industrial and other enterprises and help integrate them into value chains and markets

Climate action

Climate action

We are dedicated to taking meaningful action to combat climate change and its impacts. Travelling by rail is already the greenest form of public transport and we want to encourage more people and businesses to switch to rail. As a key member of the supply chain, we can do this by enabling operators to operate more efficiently. We commit to:

  • supporting a whole rail industry approach to decarbonising the railway by 2050
  • engaging every employee with our sustainability strategy, creating a climate-conscious workplace culture
  • minimising waste and recycling at every opportunity, reducing our carbon footprint and maximising carbon savings
  • investing in carbon neutrality, tree planting, biodiversity and green initiatives
