Belvoir Rail is a proud supplier of metal fabrications for the DB ESG Wheel Slide Protection Evaluation Rig (WSPER) located at the brake system technology laboratory in Derby.
Developed by BR Research and further enhanced by DB ESG, the WSPER is designed to test train Wheel Slide Protection systems to improve rail vehicle brake performance in low adhesion conditions.
The Rig which comprises of various braking components, provides a platform that leads the equipment to believe that it is fitted to a train, simulating realistic operational conditions for testing without the need for a test track.
Belvoir Rail provided fabrications, parts, components and assembly for the rig to DB ESG design and specifications.
The work and equipment will provide invaluable contributions to seasonal performance improvements in the rail industry.
