Belvoir Rail Showcases RIA 2025 Innovation Conference

Belvoir Rail was pleased to exhibit at this year’s Railway Industry Association Innovation Conference, held on 25 and 26 March 2025 at the ICC in Newport, Wales.

The two-day event welcomed over 500 attendees from across the rail industry and featured keynote speeches, TechTalks, Exhibitor Spotlights, Pitch Sessions, Fireside Chats, and more.

At our stand, we demonstrated our robot quadrupeds, an advanced solution designed for rail infrastructure and rolling stock inspections. These four-legged robots, equipped with AI-driven sensors, are designed to improve safety, efficiency, and data quality in maintenance processes.

They can detect faults more quickly and accurately than manual inspections, reducing the need for workers to enter hazardous environments, and supporting a more data-driven approach to maintenance.

We also took the opportunity to showcase some of our products currently in development. One highlight was our diesel exhaust particulate filter, designed to reduce harmful emissions and improve air quality in areas where diesel trains are still operating. It offers a practical solution for cleaner air while electrification projects continue to progress.

In addition, we introduced several new partnerships and previewed advanced mapping and AI integration tools. These innovative products will be formally launched this spring and are designed to support smarter and safer rail operations.

The event also highlighted the power of collaboration across the industry. It was a strong reminder of the successes that can be achieved through collaboration, and of the importance of recognising the breadth of resources available.

The UK’s innovative supply chain ecosystem is hugely powerful and, when fully engaged, can drive real change, supporting faster progress and more effective outcomes across the network.

James Brown, Managing Director at Belvoir Rail, said:
"This was a valuable opportunity to connect with others across the industry and share the work we’re doing. We’re focused on solving real problems with practical tools that can be put to work now. Not just ideas for tomorrow, but solutions that can be deployed now to make a real difference. That’s what the industry needs, and that’s what we’re delivering."

It was an exciting event to be part of, surrounded by suppliers and partners who share a commitment to improving the future of rail in Britain.
